Melissa Weidner is certified in adult health and adult-gerontology acute care through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Society of Hospital Medicine. Professor Weidner is currently enrolled at Walden University pursuing a PhD in Public Health with a concentration in epidemiology.
Most recently, Professor Weidner maintained a clinical practice at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. She was the director of the hospitalist program for two years and was one of the first APPs to have this role nationally. She has also been an adjunct professor for over 10 years at several universities in Pennsylvania.
