Curriculum

A curriculum designed to strengthen your holistic approach to healthcare.

Misericordia’s online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) curriculum provides a structured framework that prepares you for an advanced practice role in healthcare. It centers around research, inquiry, analysis, and other skills that can be directly applied in the workplace; like the diagnosis, prescription, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.

Our online MSN offers individualized attention and scholarly insight from a dedicated faculty with years of practical experience. You can specialize your coursework in one of two areas: Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner.

This degree follows Misericordia’s commitment to a higher standard of education focused on:

  • Evidence-based practice
  • Healthcare policies, organization, and financing
  • Ethics
  • Professional role development
  • Considerations for diversity and social issues

Pamela Dwyer

“Our nurse practitioner graduates are prepared with the knowledge of not only the clinical aspects of the illness, but also the factors that make and keep people ill. Throughout the program they’re challenged to discuss issues related to healthcare disparities, illness, and wellness, and they also have to come up with creative solutions to address these issues.”
